L5-S1 Degenerative Disc Disease

Aging and wear of the intervertebral discs often go hand in hand.

Degenerative disc disease is a process of dehydration and loss of structural integrity of the disc, through which the intervertebral discs, losing their water content, dry out. Water reduces the impact of shocks on the disc’s structure, so its drying out also leads to accelerated wear and cracks, allowing a disc herniation or protrusion to appear.

The disc has an internal part, or gelatinous nucleus, and an external part meant to keep the nucleus in place.

It is this external part that is the first affected by dehydration.

The degeneration of intervertebral discs affects 90% of people during their lifetime.

It is the leading cause of back, neck, or sciatic pain.

CLOSELY RELATED

We could not address the different types of back pain without discussing the parts—NERVES / LIGAMENTS, MUSCLES attached to them, and the BLOOD VESSELS that supply them.

NERVOUS SYSTEM

The nervous system consists of two parts:

The central nervous system: the brain, protected by the skull, and the spinal cord, extending from the brain to the first lumbar vertebra, protected by the spinal canal. Below the first lumbar vertebra (or L1), there is no more spinal cord.

The peripheral nervous system: these are the nerves that branch off from the spinal cord and extend to the extremities of the limbs.

After the first lumbar vertebra, the nerves are all separated from one another, resembling a horse’s tail.

A nerve has a dual function: transmitting sensation and motor function, including muscle contraction.

We speak of radiculopathy when a nerve is irritated.

Most Common Complications in Case of Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction

  • Orthostatic hypotension

  • Upper and lower gastrointestinal dysfunction

  • Respiratory function disorders

  • Urination disorders

  • Thermoregulation disorders

  • Sexual function disorders

  • Autonomic dysregulation / dysreflexia

  • Hormonal imbalance

  • Defecation disorders

LIGAMENTS

These are super “tapes” that connect bones to one another.

They are very numerous in the spine, strongly binding the different structures together.

VERTEBRAL MUSCLES

They have several functions: they protect the joint, support it, and ensure its mobility.

Two types of muscles are particularly important for the spine:

In the front, the abdominal muscles, and in the back, the spinal extensors (spinal and dorsal muscles).

It has been demonstrated that having good musculature can reduce the load on the various components of the spine (vertebrae, discs, joints, etc.) by 30%.

Normally, the extensor muscles should be more powerful than the abdominal muscles.

BLOOD VESSELS

They serve to deliver oxygen and the nutrients necessary for the proper functioning of organs, bones, muscles, and nerves.

LOSE WEIGHT TO RELIEVE YOUR BACK

Here is a table showing the correspondence between each vertebra and the organs it innervates.

Thanks to this table (and the second table below listing the specific health issues associated with each vertebra), you can apply the principle of feedback between organs and "their" vertebra(e). This means directly addressing the vertebra related to your energetic health issue using the "Back" frequencies and your headset by placing the earpieces on the area to be rebalanced, or focusing on the health of the organs connected to a painful vertebra.

For example, a condition related to the female reproductive system (uterus, ovaries, etc.) would benefit from targeting the lumbar vertebrae L1, L2, L3, and L4 (1st chakra) with your headset earpieces to deliver the specific frequency combination included in your dysfunction and pain treatment pack!

EXAMPLE

Relieving or Strengthening Our Organs and Their Functions:
"For example, inflammation of a point called the spleen shu point, located between thoracic vertebrae 11 and 12, typically corresponds to intestinal issues like bloating or Crohn’s disease.

By placing the headset earpieces on the affected vertebral area, significant relief can be achieved, especially if the issue is physical in origin.

If the origin is purely emotional, it will take longer but will still have an effect."

Just be patient!
